My wife and I had a day to spend in Belize on a port day for a cruise we were on. We didn’t want to waste a moment so we embarked on a day of exhilarating adventure cave tubing and ziplining! The morning began with a tranquil float down the enchanting Caves Branch River, where the jungle surrounded us, and ancient limestone caves engulfed us in darkness. With the guidance of an expert, we navigated through the subterranean journey, marveling at the stalactite-draped chambers. As the sun ascended, lighting the forest canopy with golden hues, we transitioned into an extremely fun ziplining expedition. Suspended high above the emerald forest, each ride from platform to platform offered a bird’s-eye view of Belize’s untamed beauty – full of lush foliage, meandering rivers, and vibrant wildlife. The serenity and adrenaline created an unforgettable day of exploration, etching memories of Belize’s natural splendor into my very soul. If this sounds of interest to you, here are some details to help you plan this adventure:

Overview:

The typical day of cave tubing and ziplining will look somewhat like this. The adventure takes approximately 5.5 hours, commencing from most departure points. While en route, you’ll hear engaging narratives on Belize’s history and its people from your tour guide. Upon reaching the zipline location, there will be a brief restroom break before gearing up for the ziplining experience. You’ll soar through the lush canopy of Belize’s rainforest for approximately an hour. Following the zipline portion, you’ll receive a life vest, an inner tube, and a headlamp. You’ll then embark on a 15-30 minute hike to reach the cave entrance, during which you’ll be treated to an informative presentations on the region’s wildlife, plant life, and the historical significance of the caves to the Mayan civilization.
