On most activities I will be giving a rating around Overall worthwhileness, Difficulty, Cost, and Beauty. They will be color coded like the words below. I will use a 5 star rating system. On this page I’ll give my definition of what each star rating means to me. It is hard when some things or so subjective so I’d love to hear feedback on how I rate things if you disagree with me. I might just be persuaded to update my score. In general the more stars, the better. The exception of this is difficulty, more on that below. Here are my descriptions:

Overall Worthwhileness
1 Star – Not worth doing, low payoff for the effort
2 Star – Ok, mediocre not worth going out of your way for
3 Star – Worthwhile
4 Star – Great, Worth the Effort
5 Star – Amazing, a must do!
Difficulty – The more difficult = less people, so I’m giving more stars for increased difficulty
1 Star – Effortless
2 Star – Easy, minimal effort
3 Star – A bit of effort, but most people should be able to complete
4 Star – Challenging, but doable if in decent physical shape
5 Star – Extremely difficult, most people won’t be able to complete
Cost
1 Star – > $200/person or Very Expensive/More than I’d pay except for something special like a once in a lifetime activity
2 Star – $100 – $200/person or Pricey
3 Star – $25 – $100/person or Average Cost
4 Star – < $25/person or Cheap/Not too pricey
5 Star – Free or No Price
Beauty
1 Star – Not appealing might be dirty or unpleasant
2 Star – Very common not unique
3 Star – An average site, but may have some appealing qualities
4 Star – Unique, pleasant or appealing
5 Star – Other worldly – Breathtaking, Dazzling, Enchanting
Adventure
1 Star – No Adventure, Activity in its simplest form
2 Star – Slight Adventure, might have some challenges
3 Star – An average Adventure akin to going on a hike, Not Risky
4 Star – Great Adventure, can pose great challenges
5 Star – Extreme Adventure, Maximum Adrenaline Rush, Possibly High Risk, considered Epic, Heroic, and Legendary
