It’s been a long time since I visited Egypt, but I still remember that trip clearly. It was1999 when I visited Egypt, the journey was nothing short of mesmerizing. The moment I set foot near the colossal pyramids of Giza, a rush of awe enveloped me as I gazed at these ancient marvels that have stood the test of time. The grandeur of the Sphinx left me in wonder, its enigmatic smile seeming to hold countless secrets. As I strolled through the bustling streets of Cairo, the juxtaposition of modern life against the backdrop of historic mosques and markets was truly captivating. The vibrant chaos of Khan El Khalili market introduced me to a sensory explosion of colors, scents, and sounds. Venturing down to Luxor, I found myself immersed in the awe-inspiring temples and monuments along the Nile’s edge. The Valley of the Kings was a poignant reminder of the legacy left by pharaohs of old. Each site I explored transported me back through the annals of time, allowing me to grasp a tangible connection to Egypt’s rich history and culture.

Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa, with a small portion of its territory extending into the Middle East via the Sinai Peninsula. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, the Red Sea to the east, Sudan to the south, and Libya to the west.
